Poor Aiden

Let's try this again...
So, as my sister so pointed out, it has been a very long time since I have done a posting on here. Last time, Aiden was 9 months old and not walking and just getting teeth! ALOT has happened since then!!
Paolo is now 4 and is really getting into sports. He LOVES to swim and just recently started swimming underwater! No, he's not sinking, he's actually swimming underwater. He likes to dive down and get the rings off the bottom of the pool. He even does it without his float belt now too, which I think is just great. Seriously, two months ago he would kick and scream if I asked him to put his eyes in and now he won't stay above the water!! As his swim teacher, and mother, naturally I am so proud of him!! He also really likes soccer and can't wait for indoor soccer to start up at the Y in Feb. He played t-ball and flag football this summer and fall and loved those too. Looks like we have a regular athlete on our hands!! He throws right handed and bats left handed. Just like Joe Mauer!! Now, if only he could make the big bucks like Joe, we'd be in business. haha.
Aiden is 2 now!! He is talking more and more every day. His new sayings include, "um, can I tell you something?" "I have a good idea" and "um, actually, no." He is very fond of the last one and uses it quite regularily. He is getting so big and starting to look and act like a little boy and not so much like a toddler. He wants to do everything himself and won't stop trying until he figures things out. He also is very smart for his age. Part of that is from listening to Paolo talk with us and stuff I think. Aiden is getting his tonsils and adnoids taken out on Jan. 11th! He can hardly breath while he sleeps because his tonsils nearly close off his airwa!! Correct me if I'm wrong, but breathing is a good thing! I'm hoping he will sleep more soundly after this is all over with. Aiden is also working on potty training already. He does a great job the majority of the time. He is lactose intolerant to a very high degree and when he has a flare up with that his progress is basically back to none, but as soon as he is back to normal, he is back to doing a great job!
Stefan and I are really enjoying watching the boys grow up. I can't believe Marc is almost a year old already! Where did the time go? As fun as it is to have a baby around, we are both looking forward to the years ahead of us. We are excited to be able to take trips with them and watch them play their sports and go to school and stuff like that. We are planning a trip to Seattle sometime in the spring or fall and a trip to the Pittsburgh area for this coming Christmas. It will be nice to have them be a little older and able to travel better.

Wow...I am bad at this
Alot has happened since the last time I wrote on here.
Aiden is 9 months old now and getting closer and closer to walking. He will stand next to anything and walk along things as long as there is something interesting he is trying to get at. He just got his first tooth about four days ago and I think that more are coming soon behind that one. Otherwise, he is still a happy baby and enjoys chasing after his brother.
Paolo is becoming more interested in playing with Aiden and not being so jealous that he has to share his toys. He never was really that bad with the sharing but just didn't know what to think because technically the toys were his. He likes to help me out with Aiden and likes to make Aiden laugh. If Aiden is crying Paolo likes to do patty cake with him because that makes him laugh everything. Paolo is no longer sleeping in his toddler bed. He is in a twin size bed in his room. He sleeps very well there and really likes his big bed. Soon enough Aiden will be in the toddler bed sharing a room with him, something he is excited about.
Aiden's room will once again be the baby room as we are expecting our third and most likely final baby this March. Of course we are hoping for a girl this time but really won't mind either way. If it is a girl, and we will find out in the end of October or early November, I am going to be doing some painting in that room. Not the whole thing, but enough to make it a little more girly, though it is green right now.
Other than that, we are always working on things at our house. We put in a new sink and vanity and toilet upstairs in the bathroom and that has given us SO much more storage space. We have also been throwing around ideas for ways to finish the basement into a more usable living space instead of just storage. We'll see where we go with that.
We have been also getting out in our boat much more this summer than years past. It's still hard to take it on Lake Superior with someone as small as Aiden without taking extra people with us but we enjoy any time we can spend on the boat. Paolo loves to go fast and Aiden would like it alot more if he didn't have to wear a life jacket. Next year it will fit him much better.
That's an update in the life of the Pagnuccis. Hopefully I can update this a little more often than this time.

a quick update
- Carrie and I painted our kitchen. It was a beige sort of color with faux paint and now it's a nice red color. I origionally wanted to paint the cabinets, but they look great with the new paint. We did replace the knobs on the doors. They are now a nice silver.
- We also, with some assistance, installed a new floor. It's amazing and I love it. Especially compaired to the nasty floor that was there. The carpet is GONE!!
- I got a new refridgerator!!! The old one is still taking up space in my dining room and will hopefully be moved out by this weekend. The old one was being held together on the inside with screws in weird places and duct tape.
- We are going to get new countertops as soon as we have all the other stuff paid for. We are getting a new stove as well and installing a backsplash which we currently do not have.
- My living room is being over taken by big boxes because we just finished putting in a new toilet and vanity and sink in our full bathroom. Now the toilet doesn't run every time we turn on the cold water faucet or when ever it decides to run, which is nice.
- Our basement was leaking water a couple days ago because the garden had backed up with water and it was running in through the basement window. I got the pleasure of going out in the rain and wind to dig five trenches which did successfully drain the water.
- No, I do not have the pictures to post in addition to this blog. I will take them once everything gets put back together.
On the family front, every one is doing well. Paolo is really liking the warm weather and splashing in his 'water boots.' Aiden is a rolly polly man. He has been rolling all over the living room. He only rolls one way though so he gets stuck against the furniture. Both the boys have colds too so that's no fun.
My brother has been sort of staying with us off and on while he is getting started with work in Ashland. I am bringing him to the airport to go back to Texas to get the rest of his stuff and his wife and dog on Friday. We have really enjoyed having him here and we are excited to have them all moved in and close by.
Other than that....I need to get my pictures taken of all the updates!! Stay tuned....

Some little things about my boys!!
- The other night, about a month ago, even though the ground is completely covered with snow, as Stefan was tucking Paolo in he all the sudden said to Stefan, "daddy, I jump in leaves, wee haw!!" Stefan started laughing so hard. It was totally random but apparently something that he remembers from fall.
- He likes to watch spongebob in the mornings, ok all the time if he could, and a few weeks ago he was sitting on the floor in my bedroom, with his little feet crossed like he ALWAYS sits, and he started laughing at s-bob and said, "oh man, that great!"
- We went to the cities a week or so ago to see my brother and his wife. My sister and Brian and my parents all went down too. Paolo must have gotten use to going so many different places because now if we go more than one place he will always ask, "where we going next mommy?"
- Another thing that he has been saying since the cities is whenever we go somewhere that he hasn't been he will say, "what is this place?" Once he is told he usually follows it up with, "oh, yeah, I know." He says that to practically everything.
- On Saturday Stefan was at work and we were going to go to the home depot after. Since he took the van with the car seats in it, I was going to take the bus with the boys over to his office and then all of us go in the van. Paolo through a fit about going on the bus. I finally got him to the bus stop, which is across the street from our house, and he kept saying, "I need to go in my house right now for a minute." I kept saying no. Then he just wanted me to pick him up. He kept saying, "up, up, mommy up, up." I as I'm holding Aiden, I managed to pick him up. Luckily the bus was only two blocks away. Then when he could see the bus he got all excited. On the trip, which is about 30 minutes or so depending on stops, every time the bus would stop for someone he would say, "someone else coming on right now." Then as soon as the bus started going again, he would say, "silly bus." The best part was at random times through out the trip he kept saying, "I still can't believe this mom!" It was so fun.
- The other thing that he has started is wanting to know what I'm always drinking. If it's water or milk or juice he just says "oh, yeah, I know." If it's pop, he will say, "I need pop now too mom." I'll tell him he can have it when he is older, same thing with hard candies, and he says, "I want to be bigger right now mom." What a silly boy.

Aiden is getting bigger and bigger every day. He is going for his four month appointment this Friday, which means more shots. He is going to be bigger than Paolo I'm sure of it. He is also rolling over. Today he rolled onto him tummy, to his back, then tummy, then back without stopping. He always looks so proud when he gets to his tummy. He is still an easy baby. Really only cries when he gets put in his car seat or is hungry. He is starting to teeth so he's a little sad some times but that's about it. He also got his first hair cut last weekend. He was the youngest to ever get his hair cut at the great clips we took him too.

That's all for now. Back to my kitchen. We also got a new toilet, vanity, and sink for our bathroom that is presently sitting in my bedroom still in the boxes. Some day they will get put in, hopefully some day soon.

a little of what's going on
This weekend the UWS men's hockey team is doing a REALLY cool game on Friday sponsored by the Superior Jaycees, which I am a member of. We are doing PINK THE RINK. All the players are going to be wearing pink hockey jerseys and we are trying to get the fans to all wear pink shirts too. The shirt are really cool. I tried to find a link to put a picture of the shirts on here but it didn't work. You can check it out at www.superiorjaycees.com if you really want to. It's an awesome event with all the proceeds going to breast cancer research. Stefan and I will be volunteering at this event and it is so awesome to see the cancer survivors that come and have tears in their eyes (we did one game last weekend too at a women's game) when they thank you.
Brothers

This is the photo that we used this year for our Christmas cards. Paolo LOVES his little brother and is always giving him hugs and kisses. The first few days when Aiden came home from the hospital, Paolo had a hard time understanding what had just happened to the life he had always known. All of the sudden he had to share us with this new baby. He adjusted quite quickly and has been such a great big brother. He likes to show off his brother and gets very concerned when Aiden is crying. Aiden in return loves to look and watch Paolo. He is always smiling at his big brother and Paolo of course loves that too.
I can not believe that I have these two beautiful little guys!! Aiden is such a great baby too!! He usually is very happy and mellow. If he is hungry or cold then he gets a little sad but still doesn't really CRY.
I love being a mom so much and Stefan just loves being a dad too. We are looking forward to them growing up and playing together and just watching them grow up with each other. Paolo won't even remember what life was like before his brother.
